Yale College has ~500 registered student organizations, including academic, performance, and community service groups.

For current details and contact information for a specific student organization, please visit Yale Connect.   Note: You will need a Yale netID to access Yale Connect.

Once you have logged into Yale Connect, make sure to select ‘Yale College Hub’ and click on ‘All Student Organizations,’ which will provide search access to all registered organizations.

The Extracurricular Bazaar

The Student Organizations Extracurricular Bazaar is an annual event where various registered student groups, clubs and organizations gather to showcase their activities and recruit new members. It’s a chance for new and returning undergraduate students to learn about the diverse range of extracurricular opportunities available at Yale.

This year, the Bazaar will be held on Sunday, September 6, from 2pm-5pm in Beinecke Plaza.

Guidelines & Information for During & After the Bazaar

Check-In

  1. Check-in for the Bazaar will be 1 PM – 2 PM. 
    1. Please check-in at the YCDO/Student Organization tables that will be located in front of the Yale Alumni War Memorial Monument in Beinecke Plaza. 
  2. After organizations are checked in, they may set up their assigned space. They are also free to leave and return closer to the start of the Bazaar, if preferred. They do not need to check in again when they return.
  3. Only ONE officer should check-in per organization. Please communicate with your team and decide in advance who that person will be. Sending more than one person slows down the check-in process and makes for longer lines.

Guidelines and Information for During the Bazaar

  1. Organizations are assigned half of a table. Please be respectful of the organization you are sharing a table with.
  2. Organizations may have no more than 2 members staffing their table at any given time.
    1. We want to avoid unnecessary overcrowding. Groups are encouraged to make arrangements or schedule shifts to determine who will be staffing your table.
  3. All representatives for an organization must stay by their assigned table. No member will be allowed to advocate for their organization away from their assigned table.
  4. Organizations are NOT allowed to sell merch during the Bazaar. 
  5. Organizations must keep their activities reasonable and at their table.
    1. No throwing objects of any kind, no climbing, no endangering yourselves or others. No large objects that block access or exits/entrances. (Note: this should not be considered a complete list of unreasonable items/behavior).
  6. Please note the following for Beinecke Plaza:
    1. No hanging items of any sort on the outside of Beinecke Library.  
    2. No climbing or standing on the walls or surrounding structures.
    3. Canopies to provide shade are allowed, but using spikes to anchor is prohibited.
    4. Wi-Fi will likely be spotty. Please plan accordingly.
  7. Organizations may not block designated pathways, entry, or exit ways - either into the Plaza, Beinecke Library, or the Schwarzman Center.
  8. Alerts will be provided fifteen minutes prior to the conclusion of the Bazaar.

SOCs will be walking around to ensure guidelines are being followed. If items/behavior is noticed that we deem dangerous or unreasonable, we may provide organizations with a warning, or depending on the severity, ask the organization to leave. Serious issues may warrant a ban from the Bazaar. Overall, please be respectful of the space and others.

End of Bazaar & Clean Up

  1. Organizations will be expected to clean their assigned area and will be responsible for placing trash or recyclable items in the corresponding containers (provided on-site at various locations).
  2. All organizations must be completely cleaned up by 5:15 PM. We will begin clearing tables at this time.
  3. Groups that fail to clean up their assigned space adequately risk disciplinary action up to and including losing the privilege to participate in future Bazaars.
